New Beginnings!

Ok, so I haven't posted anything in a loooong time. But the time has come! I feel renewed....

Scott is now over 9 months old and getting into EVERYTHING! But what a good age! However, we are scared his first word will be no. He loves to play in the dirt (on our indoor plants) and loves to chew on power cords! What more fun can you have? Here is a picture of a plant he overturned. Notice the little feet and bottom moving away from the overturned plant.

And here he is shamelessly plugging Lowe's (our favorite retail hardware store)... shouldn't we be getting royalties for this? Couldn't resisit putting him in the basket for this picture.... the good boy does what he is told and gets in the basket.

Other than taking care of our little angel, life is pretty much the same. I am enjoying my job as a client service specialist at Pinnacle in Smyrna. I love my job and all my fellow employees. I am very blessed. I have a beautiful family, a job I love, and a comfortable house.

A typical day for me includes waking up around 5am and feeding Scott (if my wonderful husband doesn't get up with him first). Getting Scott and myself ready. Take Scott to Mrs. Tammy's. Go to work. Lunch at home. Back to work. Home. Feed baby. Bathe baby. Dinner. Watch the Evening News with Charlie Gibson on DVR. Put baby to bed between seven and eight. Finish watching the news around seven-thirty or eight o'clock. Take a bath and relax in the tub for a quick minute. Bed by nine-thirty.

Had lunch with a dear friend today and we both decided to start Weight Watchers back with a vengence on Monday. I have slipped off the wagon and to be honest, gained back the 15 pounds I lost after the baby. I was doing so good and I have no idea what happened. Any support or prayers would be appreciated.

Not sure if anyone will read this but .... if you do, please post your comments! I'd love to know you are out there!

Have ya'll heard about Carmike Cinemas Stimulus Tuesdays? I haven't checked it out personally yet but here is the link to the webpage. http://www.carmike.com/stimulus_landing_page.jpg

You can get a 46 oz popcorn for $1 and a 16 oz drink for $1. Not bad considering you usually have to pay out the wazoo for those things!!

I am guity of sometimes bringing food in my purse to the movies.... how about you? If so, what is the worst thing you have brought in?

Once, I brought in a Sonic lunch complete with a yummy slush.

What do ya'll think???

Becoming Healthier!

I have started Weight Watchers lately because I want to get healthy and be around for my family for a long time. This is hard because I LOVE sweets... and I am trying to be disciplined. I lost 3 lbs. my first week, my second week I didn't lose any and this week I only lost one pound. I am cooking dinner every night and am always looking for new recipes. Here is what I am cooking tonight (I don't really care for salmon but hopefully it will turn out good):

Also, if anyone else is doing Weight Watchers or is serious about losing weight/ becoming more healthy, you should check out Dotti's Weight Loss Zone (www.dwlz.com). She has a ton of restaurants and the WW points to menu items.

I am really hoping to stay motivated with this. My hardest thing is exercise. Especially on a dreary day like today. It is easy when it is sunny and 70. I just put the baby in his stroller and off we go. But today when it is grey and rainy, I don't have much motivation.

I welcome new ideas/ suggestions for motivation, recipes, etc. Thanks in advance!!

New at this...

Hi there... I am very new at this so ya'll will have to bear with me...

Today I am starting my new blog page. There will be family videos posted, as well as photos and updates on us and our sweet little boy. I am also going to include some fun things and ponderings. This should be a fun adventure.

Well, today is the day after Scott's four month shots. He is so very fussy today and I think he is running a low grade fever. He has been down for his 10am nap for a while so I probably don't have much time left until he wakes up. He had a good checkup at the doctor's office and is now 24 inches long and weighs a whopping 14.11 lbs!! That's my good baby!!

Today I am going to post some pictures of our little sweetie from St. Patrick's Day. Enjoy!!
