Three words.... Tin Roof... Rusted!!

Part of this past weekend was spent cleaning the old homestead. And if you know me, you know that everything I do must include music. So, we turned on the 80's channel on the TV and cleaned away. I am going to list some of the songs they played that made me happy (and links to some videos)!

I'm Still Standing - Elton John
Kyrie - Mr. Mister (video HERE)
Love Shack - B-52's
Your Love - The Outfield (video HERE)
Easy Lover - Phil Collins and Phillip Bailey (video HERE)
Sister Christian - Night Ranger (video HERE)
You Make My Dreams - Hall and Oates
Addicted to Love - Robert Palmer

More Musical Moments with Scotty P

Here are a few more various clips from different days Scotty has enjoyed some of our music. Enjoy!

Some Peter Gabriel....

One of Scotty's favorite things ever is for us to turn up the stereo so he can dance dance dance. From this video you can also see that he loves to put things in the trash can. That is one of the things I love about him and having a child... everything is an adventure... everything is fun. Hope you are enjoying these little moments that I share!

Rock on! Journey! For baby!!

I have discovered something that I think is pretty cool! I don't know how many of you parents out there listen to the same lullabyes over and over, night after night while putting the kiddos to sleep. Now, don't get me wrong... I love all music. So, those classic standbys are, and always will be that... classic. BUT, there is something extra exciting out there! There is a series from Rockabye Baby that takes classic rock bands and turns their music into lullabye fare. This is great for the parents too! I have the Journey and the Coldplay CD. I even enjoy taking the CD's in the car for little Scotty P to listen to... I end up singing along in my head. There are so many bands to choose from... Queen, Metallica, The Cure, AC/DC, The Eagles, Aerosmith.... The first time I heard of this I laughed out loud... But think about it... sheer genius!! Something that the parents and kids can all enjoy!
I encourage everyone to check it out.... you can go to their website and listen to samples HERE!
